Burial at Sea is a time honored tradition
that is practiced around the world.
Today, sea burials are gaining in popularity and acceptance because cremation is steadily becoming today’s choice by people from all walks of life. Our boat can only take up to six passengers during the Sea Burial Cruise due to Coast Guard restrictions. Other options are available, like a beach viewing, so please give us a call and we will work with you during this difficult time. This is not a fishing boat so your accommodations are always clean, dry and comfortable. We take the Burial at Sea Charter very seriously and treat you like a member of the family.

We began our service for my Aunt on the deck with a group of family members. We all held a rose, said our prayer and shared some special memories.
Then, all but four of our group departed to Shoreline Village to enjoy a little sightseeing and a walk by the docks. Captain Chuck found the perfect spot for us to spread the ashes and throw our roses in. A seal popped up out of nowhere and then the Captain did a circle around the burial site.
It was a beautiful, memorable day thanks to Island Trader Charters and Captain Chuck Brown.
